Crack Sealant is an important part of maintaining the overall pavement surface at West Michigan Regional Airport. (Check out the video that follows.) Over time, pavement will deteriorate due to weather and stress. Crack Sealant is used to help get many more years of usage of the pavement surface instead of resurfacing the whole runway which can be costly. Pilots can safely land and take off so there will be less wear and tear on the aircraft.

The  Tension Joint Cracks run about $4 a foot and the Over Bend Cracks about $.68 per foot. The total project cost is around $60,000.
